Yes, I got what the dealer called the "temporary" fix for the issue of poor GPS satellite reception. The fix works but other people posted that their dealers said to wait until the permanent fix (TSB maybe?) is available. Here is my thread where I posted about the fix I got:

Nav system issues...

I just picked up my BRZ about two weeks ago. I've observed the same problem with the nav system as others have found -- can't seem to find or hold onto a satellite, at least, at times. Even when it works, though, I'm not confident it'll continue to work. I brought it to the dealer; they decided I'd need to leave it for possibly up to a day. I asked that they let me know when they think they'll have an idea how to proceed and, then, how how long the fix might take.

I've just heard from the dealer, coincidentally. He reports that Subaru is aware of the problem; they're people are working on it --something to do with the placement of the antenna (as opined above)! That was all he knows. I wondered if we were talking about having the fix this year, next year, before I would trade it in...? He thought it would take, perhaps, a few weeks. It's not his fault; I let him off the hook.

Then I wondered how long they've known and been addressing this problem already? Finding this website and this particular discussion doesn't make me feel as good as believing that I had the only one with a glitch and all I'd have to do is persuade them to replace the unit.

When you try to set the radio presets, Zoomzoomer, be sure you're not just tapping the number you want but holding it. I was frustrated too until I came across that tip in the manual. I haven't yet figured out if we get more than six presets, though.

There are 18 presets.
When on SAT, hit SAT again, and somewhere in the upper line SAT1 will change to SAT2 and you'll get 6 more presets to fill. Do it again, and you get 3 more on SAT3.

went to dealership and told them of this fix. Apparently Subaru of America is saying to wait until the actual fix

I just spoke with Subaru of America. They said that they've NOT sent out a bulletin about the nav system problem to the dealerships. They'll get back to me within three days, they said. Then, perhaps, we'll have more information about how common the problem is.

I'd love to know if the dealer had earlier complaints about the same issue, whether he knew about the problem before selling me the car and just decided not to mention it.

I made sure to send in an email complaining about this just so they have it on record. I figure the more complaints they get the faster they'll get off there asses and fix it. Perhaps its time to make a youtube video and send it to soa of how mine drops off every SINGLE TIME I LEAVE MY HOUSE.

No need to pay as Subaru and Scion both issued a Service Bulletin and it is repaired under warranty.
