Pretty tired of the attacks on other members. I don't care who you think other members are and whether they have the credentials or credibility to post things.

If you don't like what's being posted and think it's bunk, say so simply and move on. Personal attacks will not be allowed to continue. There will be infractions for such things going forward.

And I encourage all members to report posts which contain such things. Thank you.

Except Toyota isnt building a single production FT86... Youll need to be on Subaru property in Gunma if you want to see something relevant to this cars literal creation.

4-door wouldn't be so bad. You can check your blind spot easier! Or it might just be the sedan version. Could be a coupe hidden somewhere too! Lol

I don't think his point from the pics was that he's visiting the FT86 factory, but that he's an insider that knows stuff.

The interior is also partially covered but it's clear that there's red stitching on the steering wheel and paddle shifters.

A great sign is that it's following the STI for testing / evaluation purposes

The Subaru coupe is expected to be RWD with 2+2 seating.

Updated with better look at interior:

Well as Pretty as the Scion FR-S looked, I was expecting something more like the FT-86 II. Low and Behold, it does look like it albeit, with chunkier mirrors, different fog lights(or turning signals), and broader headlights/taillights.

This makes me glad because it means this car will be more practical than the low-slung FR-S concept built by Five axis. I mean, to everyone who's owned a AE86, S13, S14, whatever type of small 80's/90's japanese sports car noticed that you can actually go grocery shopping and store your products in the trunk or actually carry a 3rd (possibly a 4th) passenger. My point is like the before mentioned sports, this car can be driven fast, AND be useful

Of course I'm going to mod the shit out of mine when I get one but it's good to know it'll be more user friendly than, say a 370Z

(p.s.) I seriously hope they stay in the $20,000 range

..that reminds me...my S14, 300zx, and SC300 was VERY practical and its hard for me to fathom how i could have gotten by with my lifestyle without a 2+2 and a decently sized trunk. Im gona bet that the FT86 is going to fit well with some practicality and still be performance oriented. To me, the most impracticable sports cars iv driven was my rx7 and s2000.

I dont see how this is anymore practical than the Five Axis concept in terms of accommodating passengers and shopping? Its the same underlying car.

I would rather take less practicality if it meant dropping those huge mirrors etc for the smaller ones off the concepts.

Dont get me wrong, im glad to see this car will be 2+2 and practical, I just hope they dont water it down to much in the way of things like the chunky mirrors and the terrible rear lights etc.

Speaking of mirrors, I've heard of INSIDE mounted mirrors before...some people remove their mirrors and use those instead, which go next to the windows but in the cabin. Anyone else seen this before? Seems like there has to be a disadvantage, or else manufacturers would go for this (cheaper, lighter, more aerodynamic, simpler, easy to clean and don't get dirty)
