You may want to order some rear brake pads as well since too much of that will surely destroy and possibly your rotors but cool burnout or something.

I thought the AT had a limit of 2500RPMS when you have your foot on the break?

Sounds like burning up a clutch. Either way with that much wheelspin you wont get off the line any quicker than a neutral to drive dump.

It'll take a LOT more than that to chew up your rear brakes. I put 120 passes on my first GTO, with a 10-20 second long burnout before each pass, inside of 18,000 miles. Original pads were fine. Plus a few smoke shows for fun.

I thought you couldnt do wheelstands because it reduces engine power if both brake and accelerator are held down...

The transmission will stay in one piece infinitely longer, though.

Right Right, It is true that the engine wont let you rev pass 2.5k when you have your foot on the brake, so a real launch is no good.

But you can however do burnouts, just as the engine approaches 2.5k, ease off the brake pedal and the rear wheels should break free. As one member said, hold the brake just enough to make the car stationary. That will save the brake pads for later use lol
