It would be easier to just conclude that 80% of the population of planet Earth are complete imbeciles. The sooner you come to that conclusion, the sooner you will be able to make sense of the rest of the world.

That's the thing about video, we miss out on a lot of info including that sixth sense for predicting the behaviour of others.

Damn left hand turners and their right of way violations. As a motorcyclist you learn to fear it.

I'll contribute another left hand turn from yesterday. Watch the tow truck driver on the left side of the frame. Tow truck drivers are some of the most dangerous commercial drivers in NYC, routinely violating red lights, stop signs, making u turns as below, passing in oncoming traffic, tailgating, speeding and generally driving like assholes. In their defense they seem talented at doing so, and I suppose the job weeds out the bad ones pretty swiftly. I don't even consider this example as dangerous as it appears because, while violating some laws and my right of way, he maintained good awareness and control.

Also, you will notice the image is foggy. Not sure why. Will try cleaning the lens but I suspect it' s a problem and might require a replacement lens. Has happened to others.

Most police are only concerned with videos of themselves committing crimes, which is why two states just outlawed filming police in the course of their duties. Way to go.

But seriously, I highly doubt it. In the event of a collision or a real crime they would use it.

There are other avenues. I've filed a complaint with the MTA over that bus. Cab drivers have hit my car and run in the past, and the TLC complaint board would have loved some footage.

I sent mine into the company that runs the city bus company. Doubt they'll do anything.

I have seen the opposite recently. There have been bans on this for 50+ years, and one of the courts of appeals just halted enforcement of a similar ban in chicago. With the precedent in place, it's likely this will become something which is nearly impossible to make stick.

I'm loving my BlackVue 400, I bought it on eBay direct from Korea for $190. It came with the Korean voice, but I was able to modify a file and then flash the English firmware.

I'm still hoping to capture something interesting soon.

People are idiots. Looked right at me, pulled out anyways. Then decided to take a super wide turn.

You didn't help that situation by stepping on it harder when he was clearly pulling out. Sure, he's a prick, but no need to cause an accident.

You know what I would love, if the BlackVue had built-in WiFi so whenever I pulled into home it could upload the videos to my home network.
