I'm getting rid of the stock Bridgestones and I'm replacing them with Goodyear F1 a-symetric all season tires next week.

The Turanza's are horible tires. I have them on my Mazda 3. I've never driven with them in snow, but I doubt they are anywhere close to acceptable. They are the worst tires I've ever driven on (and I lived with the crap RE92s on my Legacy for two years).

Mine shipped with the Bridgestones. Bought the car in the Riverside area of southern California, if anyone is trying to keep track of locations.

Yes, they suck, and yes, they squeal and lose grip, but isn't that the point? Jeremy Clarkson nailed it on the head in the article that is posted on the front page for today. I lose grip in the tail all the time, but I leave every corner smiling!

By the way, once the stock tires are burned, I plan on upgrading to bigger wheels and tires. I've never had so much fun going through tires though!

Mines came with Michelin Primacy HP. They are horrible tires. Since I work for Bridgestone/Firestone, I can swap them out for FREE! So, I now have Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Positions.

It had to be July sometime. My sales guy told me he had just gotten a email about the change to all season tires. I knew it was coming glad to see. Those hp tires are going to get someone hurt this winter.

Anyone know which date they made the change? My car is coming next Friday, should I be expecting the all seasons?

They should have gone with the Continental ExtremeContact DW I tested these at their test facility in Uvalde Texas, I drove them on a dry track and a wet track and both a wet dry combination. The Primacy HP was probably put on due to commitment to Michelin. I can't justify why else. It seems to be a safety issue, maybe even one of the reasons all the superstitious say the platform is cursed with as many wrecks as we have seen and documented. I have had high output F-AWD, F-RWD and F-FWD. I remember having 1st generation Pirelli P6 that were better traction as an OEM tire than what we've been given. They definitively did not consider regional weather in their tire considerations, much less floor mats for that matter. I completed team TA certification from 1992 till I Left DTC in 2002 to include MAST tire certification. Installing these Primacy HP on this platform goes against everything they taught in their literature.

I haven't driven on the Primacy HPs (yet) so I can't speak to their characteristics, but my Civic came with a similar model of Bridgestone Turanza and they're pretty much utter crap that only survives in the market because they're oem-fitted and fairly low rolling resistance for EPA ratings. Low grip in dry conditions, no confidence in the wet, after a few thousand miles they would hydroplane easily on standing water. I only drove in truly cold conditions a few times on them, and I wasn't impressed then either. I'd say the best thing about them was that they wore out pretty fast and I replaced them with BFG high-performance all seasons that I am loving.

So while the Primacy tires aren't great, you'll have to set expectations even lower if you're getting the Turanzas.

+1.

Used to have a Nissan Maxima and Nissan loves using bridgestone tires...the worst I've had ever - downright dangerous. I believe the civic had the same model too and even some subarus.

Bridgestone RE92. Soooooo bad!
These turanzas are also on Altimas too I think.

Yes, Expect them.
