Yes, I did. In the San francisco Bay Area, the dealers know the supply and demand for these cars and have no problem selling them.

I thought this was a discussion about the exhaust? =P

I ordered one in for our test drive car. I'll post a sound clip up once it's on. I'll also have it available at a discounted price for those that may be interested.

For the amount of money this exhaust costs, I'd rather replace the battery up front with a light weight 10lb battery for a few hundred bucks and just remove the spare for a 50lbs weight savings and keep 800-900 dollars in my pocket. Relative to the stock exhaust that's ~130% weight savings. Relative to the rest of the car it still doesn't mean much but warranty would still be very much valid. Losing 5lbs of static weight relative to the rest of the car means very very little. Remove the spare tools and owners manual, BAM 5lbs gone. If it was 5lbs of rotational mass then that's a whole other story.

Sure you can still buy the TRD exhaust and include it with all that I've said above but you'd be down over 1200 after all is said and done.

TRD exhaust is nothing but the bling factor.

Why are some people so judgemental...it is his car, his money and HIS or HER choice. Do what you want with you own vehicles. No one has made you the Car Judge of Planet Earth! Get over yourself!

It is a full cat back system I personally want to see is intalled first. I myself plan on going with a full perrin system once they come out with their header. To be honest 1000 for a cat back isnt too bad and it retains the factory fit & finish, is it for me no but to each his own.

ps: if anyone in the area would like to see come by and see on un installed let me know.

I only make mention to this because toyota is providing more jobs for americans than any of these US brands such as Perrin etc.

Funny you should mention that. The TRD exhaust is made by Borla manufactured in USA.

So what you are saying, is that we should all just cut out the middle man and get borla exhausts? So Toyota is still providing more jobs by sourcing contracts to Borla. They really love america!

I don't think that's quite correct. I believe it's bosla? Or some other comp that starts with B. It's definitely not Borla.
