I hear if you put 5 iPhone 5's in the same room, they become sentient and start replicating....

right now i'm wondering if Toyota engineers are working out if they can releaase a firmware update that will make the iphone5 work or does it mean a whole new unit?

it also puzzles me that Apple and Toyota didnt work together to fix this before it impacts the customer

That is okay though, they will still be using apple maps and won't be able to figure out how to exit the room.

Doesn't surprise me at all. Kinda saw this coming to be honest. My car originally had bespoke on the lot. Dealer finally agreed to take it off.

What little compatibility it had I saw support running out for rather soon.

So is this an iPhone 5 problem or an iOS 6 issue?

Unless Apple releases a backwards compatible adapter that translates one of the digital out pins from the lightning connector to an analog video out, I highly doubt this will ever work for your bespoke systems again.

A D/A converter for video such as this would be cost prohibitive and have limited use potential, so I doubt apple will bother.

I don't know why anyone would want the Bespoke anyway. For the $850 they charge for it, you can buy a much better unit of your choice...and have the original unit as a backup, or sold and used to buy the replacement.

Basically states the NAV is grabage...though the word "assinine" was actually used.

My iPhone 4S with iOS 6 works just fine from what I can tell. So I wouldn't worry about that part. When my dad gets his iPhone 5, I'll see what works and what doesn't. I'll be keeping my 4s until the 5s comes out. Glad I got my BeSpoke unit for free!
