My car had like 70 miles on it. Meh. If it can't handle whatever was done to it, the car sucks.

My car had 131 miles before my test drive. The car was a lot transfer from Portland to Eugene. About 100 miles just right there. Anyway, they pulled the car out of the show room, gave me the keys and watched as my wife and I took off. We went for about a 20 mile drive by ourselves. I was able to live with 131 miles.

I'd be curious what happened to get 624km...

I'm sure they are hoping there's a sucker who will take this car no matter what, if not they'll be forced to offer a discount.

The thing is they KNOW they can sell it in a heartbeat in Vancouver even with the 624km. Like the guy didnt even try to "sell" it to me. He took the approach of "hey do you want this car, if not we can sell it no problem in Vancouver" he wasn't even excited about it, completely monotone. Didn't offer anything like....good that would make me want it. He also was kind of going the route of "well...i don't even have a serial for your car yet...we are thinking it will be before Dec" so that I will buy it just to have it NOW. Bleh.

I found brand new BRZ premiums for almost $2k under sticker. You just got to look and be able to driver or fly a long distance to get one, and it might not be the color you want but paying over MSRP for a FR-S or BRZ is crazy.

That is either an old sales tactic (not acting desperate in front of the customer), or they really believe that they can sell it at full price no problem.

Either way, I would not be able to live with the car knowing that I paid full price for a car that was almost certainly beat on.

Canadian trim level.

The Subaru BRZ Sport-tech Package offers additional comfort and amenities while still keeping vehicle weight low. Externally, the BRZ Sport-tech Package is distinguished in front with fog lights and in the rear by a body-colour trunk spoiler. Inside, the seats are upholstered with Alcantara inserts and leather bolsters.

The BRZ Sport-tech Package substitutes a dual-zone automatic climate control for the entry level BRZ's manual HVAC system. In the BRZ Sport-tech Package, heated front seats as well as keyless access and start with illuminated engine start/stop button add to the convenience and sporty attitude of the car. Also, the dual visor vanity mirrors are illuminated, while front door courtesy lights illuminate when the doors are opened.

Some sucker who sees the car for the first time (does minimal research, has no clue it's a first year car with people dying for an aggressive test drive) will buy it and that's why they're asking full price. They may even lower the price a tad once the sucker is on the line. Someone who has done their homework and is an enthusiast knows better...mostly because WE beat on the car during the demo.

If you bought a demo, anytime it's in the shop you would kick yourself, wondering "was this becasuse of the test drives or did I do it." At least if you saved thousands you can go, at least I got a good deal.

Nope. I would not take it either. The dealer should have dropped $1000 off the price. It was demo car, not a new one. Even for $1000, I would worry a little.

$1000 is small change compared to the abuse heaped on the car for 624km

You made the right decision by turning down the bad offer, its a "Test Drive" car, and who knows how hard its been driven in those 624kms
