I actually really like that idea.

The sides extend/collapse for different size phones and you can also remove the bottom piece and swivel for horizontal viewing.

I don't want it for Nav, just a place to hold my phone if I end up getting an armrest.

What happens if you accidentally hit the cd swap button? Is it a six disc changer or a single disc?

I wouldn't to love to get that for my current car but it has the Subaru 6-disc. It would be good accidentally changing the cd.

EDIT: Nevermind. I looked it up and saw it only goes about a half inch into the CD player. It still wouldn't be good if you accidentally hit the eject button with a cd in there.

I'm definitely going to get one of those though. I've been holding off and searching forever for some kind of alternative phone mount.

That's a simple enough solution - keep it right in your peripheral vision. I assume it swivels to let you view the screen horizontally?

Correct. It does not slide in deep enough to activate the insert mechanism.

Correct. It is a ball joint and the bottom piece that helps hold the phone upright is detachable.

Why not that little cubby with the lip, next to the usb/aux port? That works perfectly for me for holding my phone while driving.

Actually I just leave my iPod in there. My phone barely fits. It's a PITA to get it out.

Yeah, I'm not an iPhone guy. I have an S3. But my wife has numerous iPods and an iPhone, so I just swipe one of her extras and leave it in the car.
