You almost don't want to risk driving this car as a daily. You almost have to drive it like an $80, 000 exotic.

I know how you feel brotha... And at least you just got your plastic dented...

I got my new silky smooth SWP BRZ door DINGED just recently, and now my OCD is kicking in everytime I see the car from the driver side.

BARELY even had it for 2 freaking months!... WTF!

Exactly, the low roofline has me nervous everytime im behind a truck that I cant see the back window from....I always stagger the car when behind people, so I can actually see the side mirror....although in Yruyur's case, that was simple stupidity on her part....which you can't account for. =(

Are you saying she expected you to say: "no problem, I'll just fix it myself with my own money"? And: "who cares that the car is only 2 months old, everybody wants dents in their 2 month old car"

I had a similar situation when I got my RSX. It still had paper plates on it when the girl pulled into my lane and swiped my left side. "oh it doesn't look bad" she said. My reply was simply "the car is TWO WEEKS old!".

If you really don't want people to hit you, buy some of these and put them around your car.

Maybe a mini strobe light just to be sure.

(Slight sarcastic tone implied.)

Come on guys, these are cars to be used every day. People shouldn't hit you but the reality is that those idiots will hit you. Eventually, most of us will realize that it just isn't worth getting worked up over. S*** happens and life moves on. The way I have always looked at it is that the first damage is out of the way so I don't have to worry about it not being pristine anymore, I can use it like it was meant to be used.

That being said, it still sucks. People should be more careful while driving. I vote for surprise driving inspections at random intervals. If caught doing anything unrelated to driving, immediate fail. Who is with me?

Hope you have uninsured motorist coverage. This doesn't sound good. Blood out of a rock doesn't happen often...

dont know why people go out of their way to "hide" their cars from bad drivers, etc etc. Whats the point of living in this fear of getting hit, or getting a bumper scratched? you have insurance for a reason...
