I ordered from Shepparton Toyota, so a small regional dealership. All of the dealerships I rang around Melbourne had too many orders, so I ordered from Shepparton who only had one other order in line at the time. They were also cheaper than every other dealership we tried.

Webtracking still says planned November production, but the dealer rang to tell me it has been confirmed going by their tracking. I'll believe it when my webtracking updates though.

Spoke to TMCA earlier, they have no idea nor heard anything about the extra 1500 cars supposedly allocated to us for the next 6 months !!!!????

Perhaps this info will pop up into their system @ the start of the month?

Same! I spoke with TMCA both Friday and Monday, seems they know NOTHING about an extra 1,440 cars!

'Green Comet' ordered July, 'stock number' is after mine and at that time quoted delivery for GTS was 18 months! His '5866' would be correct for an early July order!

Mine just keeps getting pushed back and it's NOT a big city Dealer!

Stock controller at the dealership where I order confirmed the additional stock for Nov / Dec Production for this year to be about 1000 additional cars.

Keep in the mind when you call TMCA you speaking with call center front line staff who may not know that additional stock has been allocated.

I rang around to different dealerships after being d!cked around by the original dealership I dealt with back in early July. Was lucky enough to get my hands on an unallocated car.

Thanks Jigga, that makes sense in difference to 'ordered 5 September', but can't see how 'Green Comet' managed [lucky him!!] to get his thru so fast considering a lady I work with ordered same time as me a GTS and told '18 months plus....!!'

It's not as simple as first come first served unfortunatley.

There are "Restrictions" at the factory when it comes to builds.

Your particular build request can come unstuck at either, model variant, transmission, or colour build allocations from the factory. (ie: the might only have schedules for 20 x GTS Manual Pegasus White, for that production run and mine could be number 21 requested that month so i miss out).

Then there is also the fact the there are over 200 Toyota dealers across Australia all requesting builds and some (like us) weren't actually allocated any for August-November so it was a long shot of getting any built before December.

Understand, but how lucky 'green comet' compared to other GTS buyers!

I am aware of large Dealers getting NO October orders in but I still ask the question as to why Scott Thompson from TMCA said '2/3 months for a GT' when at the same time a GTS was 18 months and more
