Another thing is once you get the car in the air on stands, intentionally bump into it with a little force from a couple of different angles. I do that every time. Better to find out you weren't on even grounding before you start your work than when you're under the car. I started doing this after a member on S2ki died while changing his diff. Didn't know the guy, but it made my take automotive work safety to heart.

I've heard some people say the engine should be lifted on the passenger side to install ?

Is this true?

I see the bends going on the driver side, so I'd think the driver side would give you better access unless the hangers and bolts are on the passenger side.

I didn't wind up needing to do anything to the engine at all. I believe that is only needed for the 6AT vehicles, as the overpipe is supposedly near impossible to remove without jacking. On my 6MT, it was pretty easy, once I removed the heatshields.

Nameless replaces the overpipe/frontpipe (2 pieces) for 1 piece. Because of that, it is required to jack up the engine. The path of the new piece is different than the OEM.
