Should I buy an FR-S?

Hey, everybody. Sorry if this thread has been made before or whatever, but I have to ask. I am supposed to go pick up my brand new Whiteout FR-S tomorrow at a dealership in MO. But I'm reading about all these problems with the FR-S that are truly scaring me. The idle dip, the CEL, etc etc...I'm getting into this car because I was looking for a pleasant and reliable daily driver in place of my less reliable previous vehicle.

Should I pass up on the FR-S?

I was hoping I wouldn't have to skip on it, but reading the problems threads make me very nervous. Is the problem associated with any specific series of VINs?

Get it!

Just make sure to talk to your dealer about what they can do for your IF your car ends up in their service department, have them re-assure you that if ANYTHING goes wrong they will back their product.

I wonder if the dealers will provide loaner cars if the FRS goes into warranty service?

2,500 miles, no maintenance, foot always on the floor, no problems. I treat this car just like I treated my 350z, so it must be bulletproof!

Approaching 5k miles on my FR-S, and no major problems so far... Of course, I'll continue to keep my fingers crossed.

Usually people get more nervous right when they're about to get married... I think I've witnessed more folks get nervous on pulling the trigger on a car lately, instead...

7500 miles without issue on the BRZ. Just be careful what you leave in the car. There's a long lead time on replacement glass.

Mine was in the shop for 24 days, and I'm still satisfied with the car. As soon as I hit 1k miles last week... oil change, suspension, tune, and the following day beat the piss out of it at a PDX event.
