For those of you who have flashed their cars I'm not sure I'm doing this correctly. Car is running and logging to file with a red light on cable. If this is correct thus far, how long does this take?
Thx |

How close are we to map switching on the fly? I will purchase the e85 tune as soon as its available i only need 3 maps: stock, 93, and e85. My other mods are pretty mild i've got a Cosworth drop in filter, Perrin pulley, and Motiv Test Pipe although i will be adding adding an axleback or TRD exhaust in the future i'll send some logs though if you want them once the i get the cable from the group buy.

When doing on the fly map switching does the ecu require 50 miles to relearn like after a new flash is done?

I have to wait for flex fuel sensor capability to be added. There is an E85 station relatively close to me, but not close enough to be convenient for every fill-up, and there certainly aren't enough stations in the surrounding area.
Flex fuel would be awesome though. |

For a real flexfuel switching automaticaly through two maps or more depending on how much the ecu can adapte then you will neeed to install one of this flex fuel sensor and use their voltage signal to switch through map's

On My other car VW Golf R32 we have oem build'in wide band lambda that are always working in closed loop even at WOT so it's pretty easy for the tunner. he just have to widen the range of fuel adaptation from 25% to 45% and then the fueling adapte automatically according to lambda reading.
About the timing the tunner put a few different map with first one very agressive for the E85 and then if their is knock because lower pourcentage of E85 it switch to more conservative map of ignition. OK I simplify abit but that's the idea. Have use this R32 Flexfuel tune since 80k miles with no problem and no headach about what blend of E85/Gazoline is in my tank it's all automatic the ecu adapte itself to whatever according to O2 reading and knock. But I guess BRZ/FRS/GT86 do'y have wide band lambda porbe and are in open loop when at wot. |
