just told by my dealer that any august orders got pushed to the dec-jun delivery date due.

Ordered late august

I'm concerned that the production rate may have slowed lately (CEL or other issues perhaps? This is wild speculation) Several people have reported slipping delivery dates and SOA and the dealer I ordered from have stopped giving October as a rough eta and are now just saying "I don't know". It's crazy that people are still waiting after ordering in April. It would be nice if Subaru was able to give pre orders (especially those that have been on the books for a long time) a higher priority in their allocation system.

yeah from my understanding from teh dealer and like alot of ppl here are saying, they are basing allocation on number of sti and wrx sales. Apparently those places would be the NE and in the middle like utah. The populated places where BRZs are needed the most, subaru isnt allocating as much with their lame system.

It suks because i dont know if I can wait that long for a car esp in my situation, because I do need a car soon.

Not to be off topic but I'm in the same boat too (unfortunately not the same boat that has FRS/BRZs on it though) for an FRS. I had an ETA of end of Aug/mid-September on putting my deposit down and now there's no VIN or ETA. Same answer "I don't know".

I too need a car soon. Seems like there are a bunch of customer experiences where people put down a deposit, expectations are set and then poof nothing happens! Hopefully there's some recognition of all of these cases.

Yeah i'm very disappointed right now. I'm sharing cars right now with the family and was expecting the car to come in soon, not June. What's worse is the car literally just broke down tonight. The 18 year old Camry finally died so i have to make a decision soon on what to do.

FINALLY got a VIN and ETA today! Ordered my SWP limited on 5/29 from Roto Subaru near Chicago. Eta of 10/18

Wow. That took forever. I ordered the same car on 6/19 and got it 8/13. I guess I just got lucky with my region.

I believe a lot has to do with where you are on your dealer's 'list' also. I ordered mine the week before schetbie; we're in a similar part of the country, too.

However, I'm number ten on my dealer's order list. Their initial allocation was eight, and they've received five so far. I'll be waiting for quite a while.

Schtebie undoubtedly was much higher up on his dealer's list.

Couldn't agree more. I've waited since early April, still no estimated build or delivery date.

I got an e-mail from the first dealer I planned to get a BRZ from. It was a previous customers order that was ordered mid May, LR Limited. I got an e-mail today saying that the car is coming in 11/5/12 if I still wanted it. I guess no one picked up that pre-order. They were telling me November would be the latest possible, but that it should come in earlier. It's a good thing I looked around and picked one up with the same equipment, just a different color, in July.

I suggest that anyone who isn't picky about color take a look around at other dealers. I'm sure you'll be able to find something.

I called my dealer today to check mine. Still nothing. dealer said it still shows as "wait List" and should come in November. my wife is now telling me that just get the damm car even it's limited version. lol (I don't find myself need heated seats and other stuff)

oh well..I will just wait and hoping that all produced cars dont have CEL issue

Argh. My March 30th order that was scheduled for October 12th delivery just got pushed back to November 5th. Maybe I'll have it by Christmas.

Ordered a CBS Limited AT on July 31. We were hoping it might get filled early November-Mid Dec due to AT glut vs Manual scarcity.

Checked VON Friday, still in Limbo.

I expected a long and uncertain wait going into this, so I'm cool.
