My dealer explained to me the reason for the gas door being on the right side was for safety reasons. For example, if you were pulled over on the highway or something because you run out of gas, you would stand on the right side away from traffic to fill it up rather than having to stand on the left side where you are close to moving traffic.

I always thought manufacturers were required to put some on the right side so that one way gas stations would be utilized correctly. Probably completely made up.
![]() In any case, I like it on the passenger because less cars have it on the passenger side and it makes getting a spot easier in one way stations. Also, getting used to having it on the right side isn't exactly hard. Talk about first world problems.

I didn't know the gas door was on the right side so once I figured that out, I drove in circles around the gas station like an idiot trying to figure out which way to pull into the pump.

The only thing that I've found that I think could have been done better is that the sat backs don't have a "memory" feature. If you tilt them forward you have to manually find the right spot again every time. Otherwise this car is fantastic!

Five stinks bugging me after a good month with the car..
- I dont like the gas pedal throttle maps.. Too little movement for too much throttle.. Makes consistent traffic driving more of a pain than it already is. - The lack of right knee padding on the BRZ. - The wacko bass coming out of the doors... I've never had car speakers distort sound so bad. - The crickets (they present an obvious lack of engineering for the variety of the worlds fuel varieties) - The tires are weaksauce... Squeeling on right turns is too easy Other than that luv it... All the issues can be corrected and will be eventually by the dealer or my doing.. |
