If it were, do you think they'd tell? If the crash didn't kill 'em, the embarrassment sure will...

This, it looks like a dead on frontal impact, which is actually rare. You can see the shockwave ripple in the rear quarter-panel. Looks like the scraping on that panel is a result of the tow/recovery/pickup effort. Could be a crash test vehicle, or possibly crashed on transport.

The fact that there's a dealer advertisement plate on the back, and not a proper dealer plate or no tag at all, makes me think this car was just purchased by somebody. For damage of this kind, I'd also suspect someone else was at fault, cause this goes way above and beyond the "Oh noes, I don't know how to drives the RWD after all!" amateur drifter damage we expect to see on these cars.

Wasn't there a thread the other day about a test drive gone bad? Could this be the same one?

Anyone else can correct me if i'm wrong but IIRC the high speed networking used for Airbags is kept on at all times and if the battery is dead, a capacitor keeps it alive for a few minutes or so.

There's also damage to the back right. Maybe they were sandwiched between 2 vehicles?
