About to order brz tommrow

Do you guys believe the CEL and the engine chirping noise issues will be solved by the time my order is produced? Or do you guys believe that there is still a chance of getting a CEL and/or engine chirping noise when the car arrives about 5-6 months from now?

Because the root cause hasn't been established (or won't be communicated) it's impossible to say. Only a small number of cars seem to be affected so...

Since they don't seem to a solid fix as of yet, they may not have completely diagnosed the problem and may still be chasing symptoms. 5-6 months is a long time so you may in fact dodge the bullet. I'd still buy the damn car again even though I've had the CEL/SL issue.

Make up your own mind.

Like @Art_Mighty said; no one will know the answer for sure... Until they find out what is causing the problem, there will be no fix.

I would still buy the FR-S/BRZ though; It's bound to happen on newer model lineups... there will be some bugs and glitches, and they will fix it for you under warranty... Don't worry.

What you might want to worry about is just picking the right dealership to go to... The ones that know what Customer Service is all about.

I'm going to agree with everyone else. Even though I got the CEL and my car is in the shop right now, I'd still buy one again. I'd imagine by the time you get one, they'll have it sorted out.

The car i am planning on ordering is dark gray metalic 6 speed limited brz. I have been looking at all the colors and i believe dark geay is best because it doesnt get dirty as easy and looks clean day and night. I plan on tinting my windows and the lights

Why do you think it will be 5-6 months? I ordered mine on June 20 and it was at the dealer on Sept. 7.

Great choice. I love the way the color looks in person and get nothing but compliments. It's not as bad as black in terms of keeping it clean but you'll want to wash it all the time just to get that shine.

Just got the ordering done today. They said the earliest time is next spring is when the car will arrive. I chosed the galaxy silica blue but they will give me a call before it is made and I can change the color before he calls me or during.
