Wow, I had to look. Those guys on spyderchat are relentless. I'm shocked at your level of patience.

serialk11r, my limited experience with throttle position sensors is that the PCM will accept a max of 0-5v. But the vast majority of sensors wont get anywhere near that range so the PCM will interpolate the values based on the max range it actually receives. Unfortunately most OBD2 readers aren't setup for this and just show you the percentage of the expected 0-5v.

0v output from an O2 seems wrong to me, the fluctuations at idle though seems pretty normal. Ever see an AFR gauge in a car with narrow band O2 sensors? It's just a light show bouncing back and forth at idle.

We need more animations like this that explain the many basic aspects of cars...

Are you a solidworks master yet?

Could start your own project. And if you just happened to use accurately modeled Supra or Twins parts for it... Well that would be pretty epic.

Oh okay, thanks man.

~0V from the post cat sensor I guess could make sense, because the oxygen content is supposed to go down (it's burned in the cat afterall), and as I understand lower voltage = lower oxygen concentration Since I have this super strong unburned gas smell I assume my car likes to spew out a bit of extra gas for whatever reason and that certainly helps consume oxygen too.

Now the load really bothers me though. The number clearly isn't directly correlated to throttle position, so that means it's being calculated off some different measured parameters. Except my OBD2 scanner is only able to track MAF, not MAP or barometric pressure. So what the hell is it using the calculate load? The ECU cannot possibly be doing stupid speed-density calculations and then trying to correlate that with MAF readings, that would be completely retarded. Since I can't read MAP, I have no idea what's really going on, but I think my passenger told me that when I floored it on the highway at 3500rpm instead of in the 2000s, the "load" was only 69%. I hope I don't have an air filter that has an inch thick layer of dirt stuck to it lol.

Smog is only going to get tougher to pass, so I think I'll replace the 2 sensors used for fuel trim sometime before the next smog check. Still tracking fuel economy and oil consumption of course, when I get a better idea of that I'll figure out what to do.

By the way, in 1st gear my car is a bit jerky, as in when it's engine braking then I step on the throttle, instead of bam kick of power, there's kick, back off slightly, resume power. Is this just a normal cable throttle thing, or is it an indication of dirty MAF/something else?

It could be cross checking it against throttle position and rpm. That is 'Alpha-N' measurement.

Edit: read first, then post, Dim...

Why so worried? Shes of legal age. When does it become wrong to date a woman way younger then yourself. Oh yeah when social shaming & condition comes into play.

As long as you genuinely desire each other then age don't mean shit and IMO, it's better when the guy is older then the woman preferably 4 years or more.

Our SAE has a CAD Class, but sadly I have no room in my schedule for it...

One day, man... One day...

Now that I own an over engineered, Asian car is this my destiny? The longing looks from the local JDM girls in their S2K, Civics and WRXs seem to say so.

Touché, sir. Don't mind the new attention, wondering how long the FRS awe factor will last
