Street racing doesnt NOT help the tuning/racing scene. It makes all of us look bad. So if people dont mod there cars or buy cars that are likely to be modded do to cops always looking for certain makes and models.

Doesnt that hurt business and the tuning scene that is already hurting from the poor economy?

What's funny? Or did I miss something. Not to be a Debbie Downer, but if memory serves correctly this Kit was not the first to breach 400whp. So there is no "catching up" sorta speak. It's just a matter of what company X is comfortable with pushing on the car.
