Well... put money down on the "new" DGM Limited 80 miles away and I should be picking it up Friday! Once it's in my hands I'll let the old dealership know they missed out... I feel bad, but at the same time, it's the SAME D$MN CAR 80 miles away! What do they expect me to do?

Oooh, I can't wait!

It's not really your first dealership's fault that they couldn't get the car for you. They are allocated cars from SOA through November 2012. Once a dealership gets a car, they aren't going to just swap it to another dealer. . .especially one in such high demand.

I know, that's exactly why I feel bad about letting them down... because it isn't their fault. Poor sales guys doesn't get his commission because the supply chain doesn't work out how we all want it to.

They'll still get the car, they'll still sell the car, and they'll probably sell it over MSRP to the next guy. Don't feel bad at all!

Got a response from SOA saying my ETA has been updated from August to December

I hope this is accurate and they're not just throwing a random estimate at me. Maybe i'll get a car that is 100% problem free. Ordered 6/12/12

Yikes, that's unfortunate. I ordered mine 7/16/12 and my ETA was today - hopefully it'll arrive before Friday.

Called the dealer to check on delivery because they've shown a couple "In Transit" for w week or two now. He said yeah it should be I'm the same shipment, expected to arrive this week or next, and he would look into it and call me back. An hour later I get the call and it's here! Gonna go pick it up tonight. I am excite!

I was given an ETA of late September/early October for an order from April. It arrived at the dealership yesterday and brought her home the same night.

Ordered 7/16 arrived 9/19. Not too shabby.
