Coming from a 2001 Toyota Avalon (my first car given from my parents), which I've now had for 6 years. When my 86 finally arrives, I'll probably still keep the car for the daily station run.

2000 Hyundai Accent -> 2003 Mini Cooper S -> Soon GTS
Work cars (about a year after mini); Kia Predgio (worst car ever)-> 05 Toyota Hilux (the ugly ones) -> 2011 Hyundai ix35

Got the Mini around 2008 from memory for $23k. Still worth about $16k. Happy with that.

MMMM, Karmann Ghia...I am looking for one of those to buy. Italian design with VW engine. Really nice car. Bolt a nice boxer engine (Porsche or Subaru would do just fine as the engine mounts will fit) and off you go.

This thread needs more pics.

I'm upgrading from my first car, that I've had now for almost 8 years.
1999 Mitsubishi Verada KH Xi.
Near 250,000kms on the clock and still running well, originally I wanted to replace with another luxury sedan, I never found one that provided 'more' luxury than my current car without paying +50k, so I decided to mix things up a bit and go for a sports coupe instead while I'm still young.

Ditching the chrome wheels look (It was popular 8 years ago! :P) and going from black to white!
