Despite my sensitivity to the volume, the sound and look of this exhaust are worth the wait. I don't know about other exhausts but this one captures all of the little nuances of this engine. It sounds so completely different at various RPM intervals, and it greatly amplifies the lovely boxer burble.
I drove through a tunnel at a high rate of speed yesterday. (Jezza voice) Mmmmmm
Next time I will take a video.

So, I've had my srt header-back exhaust (small resonator) for the past week. Only words that can describe it is... AMAZING! I love how its virtually quite at a full stop! Also I like how I can control how loud I want it to be depending on the RPM range im at. I've noticed around 2000 RPM is when its is most quite. Around 3000 - 4000 it is audible and beyond that, its just extremely loud (as expected). Cold starts are really loud as well, but as Mo mentioned, its how Subaru/Toyota made their engine.

The deep rumble of the exhaust is so unique that it makes my brz one of a kind! (first srt exhaust in alaska ). However I do not notice/experience the dreaded "Drone" that some of the owners have experienced. I've noticed though when accelerating, the sound resonates throughout the whole car and it is kinda hard to hold a conversation. But that only happens for a short time, once your cruising its not loud at all! Highway driving its virtually quite too, and to me the low freq rumble is nothing cruising at about 65-80mph.

So yeah im really pleased with this exhaust and can't wait for other SRT products to come out. Mo, hurry up with the intake!

Well to me, drone is a constant low freq hum heard any RPM, at any time. Isn't it normal for a car to be loud when pushing the gas?

I guess the term i used "resonates throughout the car" is a little misleading. What I really meant is just overall loudness caused by acceleration.

This is what I experience too. I guess you can say there is drone under "certain conditions". I think it's most apparent when you are chugging along in 6th gear in the torque dip. A quick downshift to 5th and it's gone.

A co-worker was behind me when I left work today and when I merged into traffic at a yield sign, I took off and did an acceleration pull up to about 70mph. He posted this to my Facebook wall once he go to the gas station right up the street.

Personally, I bought an exhaust system to hear it. If I didn't want to hear it, I would have left it stock. I have not heard any of the other systems in person yet so I can't comment on any of those. I can say though, that I absolutely love this exhaust!!! Everyone that I has been in it or heard it since the install compliments me on how great it sounds. I can't wait until I come across a tunnel. I think I am going to stop and let all traffic pass and do a 1-2-3 acceleration run through it. Then probably pull over on the other side and FAP FAP FAP!

One thing I forgot to comment on and I'll have to crawl under the car to get a pic, is the welds. Talk about stacking some dimes! Very good looking welds and much better than some other pics of other exhausts that I have seen. Now, that's not something that everyone will see or notice, but to me it proves quality work and attention to detail.

Well I have $1,400 invested in this exhaust including postage to Australia and still have not heard a whisper about when my exhaust will be made and sent. So I am going to stay up and ring mo at 4am here to try and get some sort of reply, answer. I am fling to newyork at the end of the week and will kick on to Washington and I am going to SRT personally to get an exhaust or money back.

Maybe it's just me but all I really want is one to know that they are stil in business and that at some time my exhaust will be made and sent. I appreciate that they are busy and have had staffing issues. Just keep customers updated and I'm sure most people will understand, after all this is an excellent product with excellent quality. The last step is customer service.

If anyone has spoken to SRT or had any correspondence in the last three weeks can you let them know that some people here cannot get in touch with them.

Cheers
