Gramlight 57 pro
Hello,
I have these staggered set of wheels from my old 300zx which has a 5x114.3 bolt pattern. How can i fit this? I have seen spacers with the bolt pattern conversion with 15mm. Any thoughts about running spacers and any other ways to fit this? Also will this fit on the BRZ by running the 15mm spacers? thoughts about the looks and fitment? fronts are 18x8 +20 and falken tires 225/40/18 rears are 18x9 +27 and bridgestone potenza 275/35/18 I will be replacing the fronts with bridgestone potenzas if the rears work out. any recommendations on sizes? If the rears won't work then i will end up replacing all tires. Any recommendations for tires and sizes? Lastly is there away to fix curb rashes? i had curb rashes throughout the 5 years with these rims. I will also repaint the rims and i don't know what color rims to chose the BRZ is galaxy blue silica and i think black or a dark gun metal color would go well with the color of the car. any reconciliations for color? |

I don't think they will fit, they would be pretty aggressive as is but with adapters way too much poke in my opinion. Sell them and buy something that fits better i hate to say it because those are sweet wheels.

put it this way, aside from the bolt pattern issue, lets say yo DO get the 15mm spacer adapters.
18x9 +27 is super aggressive on this car. add the 15mm spacer and you basically got +12 which will most certainly NOT fit without going widebody as suggested, if you can sell them, do so. or ask for trades, I would try on NASIOC since those can fit the STi's 05 and up and you can easily get nice 5x100 wheels in a less aggressive fitment for the Zx6 in exchange

I have another question, will there be performance advantages if I use a wider wheel (17x8) compared to the stock wheel dimensions (17x7)? Also will increasing my diameter to 18 effect performance probably 18x8 all around. I am thinking about running xxr 530 17x7 for summer and use the stock wheels with winter tires for winter. Lastly could I run a larger tire width then the stock 225? Will it make a difference? Thank you very much

Joe probably has a better answer for you but:
Quote:
(note having more grip doesn't necessarily equate better handling) Quote:
IN GENERAL a larger wheel would be heavier and would affect acceleration/fuel economy compared to a 17 or 16 inch rim Quote:
but you gotta check the tire manufacturer since not all tires of the same width are created equal. one company's tire can be wider/narrower and have the same numbered width as another company btw that wasn't another question, that was THREE more questions
