22 year old celica.
Have had it for 12 years. First car. 450,000kms. Leaking- oil, power steering, coolant, air con. Rust everywhere Gears crunching, popping out of 2nd all the time when not on throttle. Cracked windscreen as of yesterday, due to rust. Won't start everyday, due to flywheel not lining up with starter motor gear. It still screams to 7k redline. 3sge ! Been holding off buying another car for years since I heard about the 86. I'm so sick of fixing issues with it. Happy I done most of the repairs myself which saved me a bit of money. My 86 gts manual grey arriving between 24th-29th sept. I can't wait ! Either $1000 trade in or straight to the scrapyard. Have to clean the garage out |

Toyota GE engines are designed & built to go. The 3S-GE is the base for the 3S-GTE engine in the GT4, a car you could easily screw plenty of horses from. I still remember the journos giving that car a great wrap back then in the mid eighties, it was the best car in its class. Just like the 86/BRZ ! |

Im coming from an MX-5. A lot of comparisons are drawn between the 2 cars and for someone who rarely drops the roof, the 86 wins hands down.

Toyota set the benchmark for front wheel drive cars I really wanted to keep it but it's had it's day + I don't have the room for it. maybe might try n get an original st165 from japan later on. Had a second hand Suzuki 2008 Swift R.E.2 which was written off twice, i didn't know about and not done by me (had it since i was 18). Had to leave that car, i was sick of front wheel drives, even though they are very grippy!

Ferrari testorosa mr2 body kit. I remember seeing 1 kit that looked sweet as. Latest mr2 was great handling. Like a go kart. Australia didnt get the manual like the u.s did. The other issue was it really needed the celica engine not the corolla engine. ! |
