I plan on designing an 86 emblem for the front and back. Going to make CAD models of it, print them with my 3D printer, use those 3D prints to make molds, and then make them out of fiberglass/carbon fiber >.>

I will post some pics with progress when I get to it (I am currently working on this process with a shark fin antenna).

It either looks like a canine's nose or an angry bull with a pierced nose...

Unique, but not my cup of tea. I think the front deserves the roundness of the Toyota/Scion/Subaru badge to match the body curves...

Yeah not too much of a fan of it...although, if you could make the "86" the size of an emblem, i think that could work. just not a fan of the whole piston looking thing.

Just made a model of my first design. I think it needs some tweaking, but that is the general design
One thing I want to redo is the horizontal bar going from the outside through the 86 logo.. Just not sure how I want to do it.

Any input/suggestions are definitely welcome!

I may look into getting it machined as I think a chrome-plated aluminum piece would be pretty sweet. Die-cast would be ideal (imo) but too expensive unless we had A LOT of interest in these.
But I will print out some prototypes and see how they look.

EDIT: I think I may like this one better.

I like and don't like it at the same time...so I probably will take it off. I wouldn't mind just a plain "86" logo for the front but will probably just run badgeless on the front with possibly a vinyl badge overlay - maybe carbon fiber oval background with a centered "86" logo...

I love the Boxer "86" badge on the rear though...completely perfect for the car!

Pics?

And wouldn't it be possible to take the outer ring off of a toyota/scion badge and put the piston thing inside it, then mount it? I'm no good with photoshop, but I'm just wondering if that would fit, and if it would fix the "round hole square peg" visual problem most people seem to have with the pistons on the nose.

Cool idea, but it looks like a football...

lol yeah it definitely is not round enough.Easy enough fix, was just putting a quick idea down

As far as design goes, what do people have in mind?
I like the idea of just the 86 logo on top of a carbon fiber oval that Vracer111 mentioned.
