I've got this letter as well:

"Toyota understands the impact ... however it reflects the level of excitement ..."

Typical TMCA drivel which says a lot about nothing and nothing that really helps those who are ordering and have to wait upwards of 1-3 years for their cars!

It says we are the fourth largest market, however going by our allocation we might as well be backwater Woop Woop!

True!! When you think of it, we are behind Japan, USA and Europe so NO chance!! Might as well be the 20th biggest!!

The girl I spoke with was very polite and nice, not her fault and she did everything to see what was available in Brisbane and also State-wide!

I am hoping for a 'cancellation' thru my Dealer but it will be colour dependant of course

I guess next will be 'pushed back to January!!'

All these delays and shortages make our 4 cars on their way here sound like miracle babies!
The day is almost upon us! The boat unloaded yesterday in Brisbane and is on its way to port kembla now, arriving tomorrow. The dealer says they are expecting the car on the 24th and it'll take a week for the after markets. So I'm still thinking end of September for me.

I'm hoping it arrives on the monday 24th and the dealer gets it ready by Friday for the long weekend. 1st of Oct is a public holiday.

Who's coming to gong to wave it in.

That's what I'm hearing my dealer told me this morning thhat they are expecting the car 21st. Which lines up.

Apparently Toyota and Patricks now have an early delivery bonus in place so the sooner Patrick's deliver the car the better for them (and the dealership).

I was wrong on compliance plate - they are fitted at factory.

Who all got September production , Oct / Nov Delivery , post up details what you see on web tracking.

Mine says scheduled for production with a delivery date 29-09-12, does not make sense to me.

I've finally been given an order number of 201221289. But no-one at the dealer can explain how the web tracking works.. or if it even works for orders in WA. Anyone help me out? It was supposed to be Oct production

I was reading in a forum thread somewhere that WA doesn't get tracking info and that you are left in the dark more than eastern states.

If you were told that the car already had a production date for October then I would trust that, but if you were told that the order was placed and that they are expected the production in October then I would be skeptical of that.

No web tracking for WA. When did you order and was it a GT or GTS?
