After a serious injury, I was no longer eligible to remain on "combat ready status". Rather than quitting then, I used the AA, two BS, and two MS degrees I earned while a combatant, then was accepted to a distinguished medical school. Here I am, now well established in my medical practice, but you would be amazed at the daily crap that one in my position must deal with and overcome. Medical business is a form of warfare for the provider. Treating patients is the easy part! (my handle here, "Doc", really means "doctor".

My point is this... if a poor kid from the wrong side of the tracks could move up several socioeconomic classes in less than 20 years, anyone can do it. Desire, motivation, think of life as playing Chess, not Checkers, have a sound - good hearten foundation to fall back on, and never quit.

So those of you in your 20 who have not found your special nitch or may feel as if you are spinning your wheels with no real direction. I say to you, instill a great deal of self confidence (you can do it), establish a realistic end goal then figure the required tactful steps needed to achieve said goal. Examine the anticipated job market forecast for 10 and 20 years from now, select a career field that has your interest, and go for it! No, can't, I'll try, maybe.... those are NOT options. Just DO.

BTW: the stress from one who earns $30k, $60k, $200k, $500k is still there. With increased $$ often comes ten fold in stress.

FR-S talk now. Window tint came out great! This shop does all high end stuff and featured regularly in Auto mags and shows. I drove the FR-S around town to the tint shop. Oh, what fun!! Only issue I see, the power deficit off the line is as expected to be from a car with this hp/tq ratings. But once the wheels get going, 2nd gear and up is a blast to drive around town. Sooooo agile.

One thing did catch me off guard while driving. In the FR-S, on a multilane road and driving behind a slow vehicle... to pass on the adjacent lane requires more planning as compared to a more powerful vehicle. The FR-S just doesn't have the grunt to pass immediately, like in the Vette for instance, flick the steering wheel, tap the gas, flick again... done. Make sense?

Motivated!! Just got accepted in to the pre-med program at St. Johns University NY, i know its a long way from now before i can be quoted as"DOC" but this is exactly the kind of push and encouragement i needed. Thank You!

FR-S- After all its a flat-4 boxer engine and supercharging it, is the way to go. Then i'm sure you'll just let your son have the vett and hold on to the frs. lol
