And if that buyer already knows about the 86 supply debacle they'll be even more pissed being jerked around and knowing that there is no chance at the moment of getting a firm production/delivery date if they sign up for an 86 order. Do these Toyota dealers even have a clue as to what's happening out there? Or they simply sell cars like whitegoods? |

that one, is advertised for ~46K and it is registered (it has plates) which are included in the sale (as stated in the ad) pretty sure that if i lived in WA, and walked in to that shop, and found out that car was not for sale but only there to bring ppl in, i would be taking it to the authority on this (eg ACCC for false and misleading conduct)

I guess now the dealers here have sunk to new lows .... why do this when you know there is zero to no chance that TMCA can fulfill existing orders expediently? |

I can only guess that many dealerships will be making the most of this and telling customers that have already paid or put down payment on their ordered car that they are still being pushed back while actually selling their vehicle to the highest bidder..
I hope this is not true but im sure some will do this......

and i really have no care how much they sell them for, i got my BRZ at the internet fixed price. and if others are stupid enough to spend that much, thats their problem.

WOW, speechless $62,990 if it's true then I don't know what to say to whoever bought it - that price is EVO X, 370Z pre-owned territory ...

Sighs i guess its people that have money to burn and that can't wait and order like everyone else is allowing dealers to mark up their prices by that much... $15-20k mark up is just plain ridiculous. And yes it would entice dealers to just not deliver cars for customers who have already ordered and then just advertise it to make more $$$

I still don't get why you're so butt hurt over it, if I wanted this car as bad I would pay whatever it took to get it ASAP end of story.
They want to make extra $$?? It's a business and such opportunities don't get around for Toyota dealers often if ever... Ferrari/Porsche etc all do this get over it. And calling out a dealer on the net is likely to result in legal action FYI, seen it happen all too many times on other forums. |
