My BRZ feels better in sport mode and way better with both settings off.

I have either Sport mode on, or Traction all the way off.

John, did you tune in cooler air? Wondering if the air temps and tune had anything to do with it. Here it's been 90's. But now the temps are starting to come down in the evenings. Maybe lower 70's and higher 60's. Nice denser air.

I dunno, I'm just babbling. Surprised at how awesome the car ran tonight after work. We'll see how it is in the morning and after work again. Blah blah blah.

i dont think its you because i just came back from a whitecastle run and its pretty chilly here in ny(61F) and it pulled like a champ tonight. My brother thought i did an update or something because he noticed it too. But i have to say its not the first time its felt like this..usually in the night time the car is a different animal for me. Maybe its just me i dunno

Well for me it's the first time it's ever felt like this. I usually always do a night run after work. But today, just pulling out of the parking lot... it was different! I guess that dense air was the ticket, but not sure why it didn't feel this way in the morning when it was cooler. But then again... I did get stuck behind some school buses this morning... I just thought it was weird because I just happen to press the traction buttons in a different order. Like I said before I usually have Traction fully off (hold down X amount of seconds). But this time I did it differently. I dunno... If we had E85 down here I'd do that...

Think it's in the 1-1.5% range for effect on HP at sea level per 10 degrees. Someone who uses a dyno a lot could prob tell you more precisely based on actual dyno corrections for ambient temperature.

Whatever it was, it did a hell of a job with the torque dip. Without tune, it was horrid. With tune, much better. Tonight... huh? There's a torque dip?? I'm at sea level btw. So you saying my hp gain was 2~3% higher than my norm huh? Cool beans.

Maybe more than you were looking for but was driving me crazy saying something then not including barometric pressure humidity etc. Here's a calculator for reference:

I believe I read somewhere that you ordered or received an Airaid intake.
Have you had time to review data from the Airaid intake you received?
Does it flow significantly better than stock?
Does the STG1 93 Octane Flash for Automatic Transmissions remove the top speed limiter?
Has anyone with an Automatic Flash suddenly have a random "bog issue" ?
My daughter reported it to me, it happened once when the engine was cold leaving a parking lot, I can't verify it, I don't drive the car.
Thank you for your time and your support.

I go the bog issue as well. Seems to have just gone away. Getting my tomorrow and will send a handful of logs.

Quick noob question:
Assuming you have the E85 map, does it hurt the engine if you put in 91 regular gas(and run for 10s of miles) in case there is no E85 station near by while you run out of gas?

I don't know the official answer, but it happened to me when the local gas station ran out of E85....I filled 1/4-1/2 the tank with 93 and drove the car like an old lady until I could fill up with E85.....
