It means your car has no assigned VIN, meaning it hasn't been built and shipped yet.

Woot!! Just checked my dealership's website and it's showing a DGM 6MT Limited in transit with a VIN. Going to call tomorrow to see if it's the one I ordered. . .pretty sure it should be though.

I checked with SoA for the first time today, I was told the order was waitlisted and to expect an ETA of October.

Ordered a SWP Premium MT in early June. It seems like "waitlisted" is a vague term that they use, since the customer service rep also said the car was probably already built and on its way over.

Wow I guess a shipment did arrive, or is imminent. All the local Denver area dealers show a bunch of BRZ's "in transit".

Just to follow up, just got off the phone with the dealership. Car just left port and he's expecting it this afternoon. It will be ready for pickup no later than Friday. Expecting a follow up call this afternoon with more details. So from order to delivery for me was 1 month.
