Shifting hard to 3rd gear in a JDM car. Also that's the gear that gets ground...

by JDM, you mean RHD, correct? i never really had problems with that, but i'd just pull back, let it slip into the center, then push it forwards. course, could just be because the miata was so old that the gears were smooth already. lol

My old Supra was RHD. R154 trannies aren't known for smoothness, but LHD I'm ok. 50/50 I'd crunch 3rd shifting hard on the RHD.

And the reversed turn signal and wiper stalks. Changing lanes with the wipers flipped on, oops...

It's not the "fast lane", it's the passing lane. Pass and get back over, pretty easy concept.

Watch for signs on Texas multi-lane highways that read "Left Lane For Passing Only." These signs let you know that the left lane on a divided highway is not a "fast" lane; it is a passing lane.

After you pass someone, move into the right lane once you've safely cleared the vehicle. Impeding the flow of traffic by continuing to drive in the left lane is punishable by a fine of up to $200.
Also yes I know this is an older post, but this irks me, almost as bad as tinted tail lights.

Edit: Every highway I've driven on including most of the major roadways in Dallas have the "left lane for passing only" sign.

What really grinds my gears? Within a week of trading in my Cobalt SS turbocharged (had the GMS1 upgrade, so 280HP/320TQ @ the crank), a Corvette, a WRX STi, and a 5.0 want to mess with me. Where were they when I had the Cobalt SS At least the SS could have hang with them a lot better than the BRZ. But then again, I can actually punch the gas in the BRZ, let go of the steering wheel and still go straight

/waits impatiently until he can afford a turbo for his BRZ.

It may be called the passing lane but passing the car to your right at 2mph faster is not passing, it is driving slow. If you are going to pass, accellerate and complete the pass, then slow down. This should take less than a minute, maybe 2 tops.

I agree, however lingering in the left lane once you pass the slower moving traffic "because it's the fast lane" is still wrong.
