Twice

2007 VW Passat was easy over 30 days in the shop, 3-4 different loaner cars were fun to drive, go figure.

Nissans is very very hard, my wife's old car an 03' Sentra was having issues for a long time, we kept the car but they paid a certain amount $$ for us to keep it. Took the money and ran like a bandit 4 years later ended up trading it in and getting good money for it trade in too.

They need not lie, like they did with the 08 wrx to 09 wrx changes, people were very upset, since it was kept away right before the release. Some people got free accessories, some people got upgrades to the turbo because theirs "blew up", some people were able to get into the 09s without loss of money. Where is the Subaru love at??

Aside from the FR-S, Subaru has been very hush in regards to the 216a and it was a tease what they presented at the Geneva show!

I too would like to see a turbo version from Subaru and a N/A from Scion but we'll just have to wait and see.

Patience is a virtue and good things come to those who wait! Let's just sit back and wait to see what comes in store. This car is only going to get better as the years go on.

Word gets out that Subaru will release a turbo model months after the Scion version sales will drop(like ftw-86 said), but be bought by females, commuters and people who can't afford the turbo version.

2nd scenario is you don't release turbo first year but next year you do for $1k more, when you say it wasn't even in the works. Your gonna have pissed of consumers.. and for me I would actually try to lemon law my n/a model and then upgrade to new turbo model at the difference in price without losing money.

But that's just saying for WRX ver. So you can take as however you like

The increased stroke of the FB20 will give it good torque and better fuel efficiency.. hopefully the head will allow it to breathe and make the horsepower if designed right with decently size ports, valves and good profiled cams along with valve lift tech and direct injection. It sounds easy if your the engineer, but I'm not holding my breath and expect them to do this.

WRX stands for world rally experiment? So no it's not going to be a RWD car. WRX STi is the same car just 1 step higher.

This is a RWD only coupe. He did not say in that article that the RWD coupe will not have turbo nor was it asked. He basically stated the WRX sedan was not going to a RWD car option in the future. Or else why would they make this. I agree it should not, even if they made a 2 door Impreza it should be AWD like the GC8, don't butcher the lineage.

*This does open the door for a possible bigger project, a car that's bigger than the Legacy and uses a 3.6H6/turbo engine and is RWD with option of AWD.

The very reliable SOA blog insider on Nasioc has outright stated that their will be no turbo for the launch. Post #640 http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...141912&page=13

And since everyone seems to keep forgetting how similar these cars are, dont expect Scion offer boost either.

You guys are all so sure Subaru is even going to make an appearance on American shores? I remember an article a while ago saying that Subaru would sell their car in Europe, Toyota would in US and Japan. (Since then Scion is more likely for US)

Is the article you read credible source? With all the Subaru rep talk about the car on NASIOC(NORTH AMERICAN Subaru Owner Club), I doubt they don't bring it here.

I'm too lazy to find another article to prove my statement. You're more than welcome to search, cuz I know for sure we have already discussed bout this.
Never mind here you go

Note that the engine in this engineering study displaces just 2.0 liters and is naturally aspirated. Clearly, this isn't going to be a car that relies on sheer power for performance. According to Subaru: "Instead it maximises the potential of this newly developed chassis to achieve the fundamental characteristics of a rear-wheel-drive sports car by delivering sporty performance as driver and vehicle work in unison, as well as providing agile response afforded by its short wheel base."
Don't butcher the lineage? They're already did! They're separating Impreza & WRX/STI. How that's not butchering the lineage? Please explain that for me.

I can't find the source but it would make sense so they don't directly compete with each other. But since they are saying it on NASIOC & Autoblog it's probably be true.

Yes, yes we all know that there will be no turbo model during launch. We can take this as a fact. But, will there ever be one? A year after maybe?

That's all up in the air. It's all depend on how well Toyota & Subaru sell this car.
