Do we have to visit the ecutek or another site and download stuff there or strictly wait for John? I would just like to be prepared as possible once John gets a hold of me.

There's not a whole lot yet, most people would not want ProEFI as it is a full standalone and is a bit more expensive. And that doesn't pay for the cost of the install and tuner to tune it. Most of you would benefit to wait for another solution. I know there's a few companies working their ass off to get these solutions out there right now. It's early and that's why Ecutek has the stranglehold, because they cracked it first. I know COBB Tuning and others are working on it. There's another company in Arizona that I can't name off the top of my head that is extremely close to getting into the stock ECU.

Those of you that aren't going with a turbo or supercharger or highly modifying your engine would not really be wise to spend all the money on a ProEFI. It could run past $1500 after everything is totalled, between installation and tuning.

These will all be box tunes but should be pretty similar to this box tune, maybe even better.

Praise the day once local tuners are able to buy the software and cheap working cables to tune this car. Then we can have REAL DYNO TUNES.

If you are able to wait, then you could save some money now, save the effort now, save the frustration and waiting of this terrible service. I have half a mind to have my tuner call up Ecutek and tell them how bad of a representative John is for their company. My tuner has already suggested it as he has talked to John as well.

This is only for the people down on the list, thinking about going with Ecutek, or have already experienced the extreme low level of professionalism going on here.

I mean, you're already waiting on the list, maybe another solution will be out once he finally reaches your name. Oh and don't forget that he has already bumped one person to the bottom of his list just because this person made a post that John didn't like. Seriously?

John, as much as you've done and as hard as you are working for us, with all due respect, your attitude toward your customers has in fact been bothersome. However, if you can simply acknowledge this fact and assure people that you can work on your attitude toward your customers, I'm sure people would be more than happy to stay onboard with you and your work on this platform.

You've done everything else well. From your work on the product, to answering questions, to going out of your way to set up the loaner cable going around. But all we want is to not be treated like we are burdens on your life. After all you did ask for our business. With a small step forward in professionalism, your future will be extremely bright with this platform.

My .02 because I respect what you've done and want to see more from you on this platform and on this forum.

It might be a little late for that for some, from what I'm reading. Damage is already done and not sure what can be salvaged now.

If people continue to not read this thread and continue to just rant on about shit that's not true - I will have no choice but delete the comments.

Yeah you want a turbo tune from me - I've been busy - trying to make everyone happy. But enough is enough. I'm trying to make everyone happy and as it turns out some of you are making this a impossible job.

So if you think I suck - go some where else - I dont need or want to tune every car in the world. This EcuTek software isn't that expensive - $4000-4500 all in. Just have your tuner buy it.

So real quick -

1. ProEFI is not a full standalone on this car, must run in piggyback, same thing with the Haltech. When you run "Full Standalone" via piggy back it's not full standalone. You'll have limitations, but sometimes it can better than factory ecu tuning. I guess you'll have to spend $3500-5000 and find out.

2. No one has been BUMPED from a list. In fact I've already stated twice in the past 24hrs that the list only means your on the group buy. There is no longer any order. Nothing ships until everyone's cable / tune is ready.

3. From the very beginning you gave me a hard time - you wanted to borrow someones cable - I explained to you that's not how I wanted to do this. Then you got me in touch with your tuner. He wanted to use his injectors and map sensor - which I did not want to do. I wanted to use one of the sets of injectors I've been testing out and had calibration data for - this makes my super busy life easier - but I gave in, because really he was giving me no choice.

So here we are - it's sunday night and I have no choice to respond to this because your just saying shit that's not true.

-John

Yes it is.

I believe the first 5-10 people that got tunes also did NOT get a stock rom file from me.

If your one of those please let me know and I'll get you a stock file for your car.

Don't worry John, delete the comments all you want. We all know the truth of how you are handling this. We could easily have you blacklisted off this forum. I've also copied all of my posts for future use.

You would benefit from being more professional and courteous and treating customers with more respect. If you don't want people blowing up your phone all day, don't give out your phone number.

Paying customers deserve better.

My phone is busy, but not blown up like it was a few weeks ago.

I give my number out so people can call if they have problems or questions.

I dont give it out so they can call me 5 times in a row.

When people do that it makes my life harder.
