Why not just use the original thread with the same data?

The 10 lb flywheel may be too aggressive. I have a prototype light flywheel right now in approx 12 lb range, and the first gear takeoff is something to get used to.

Also the clutch is a massive weight system that can be reduce. It's heavy because it's needed in our design to damp out the excess vibration out stock flywheel cannot absorb.

Has anyone here looked into removing/replacing the stock front and rear steel bumpers? I'm sure there are some serious saving to be had there...

Looks like a net savings of 200lbs might be feasible, although some of the parts in the OP's post wouldn't come cheap (the AP racing BBK and CF seats).
But the weight is low. If we're just talking about weight and $, lightweight battery is better since the weight is on the front and high (although headers can increase engine power)

Won't it decrease car rigidity? Isn't that sort of a similar idea as drilling countless small holes through the chassis to decrease weight?

If I understand, they are there for collision reasons, but they might also increase rigidity a bit, too. I have seen one company that makes lightweight replacement pieces, but there are no weight specs.

And I wouldn't think that this is as hardcore as drilling holes in the chassis. Everything listed in this thread is reversible back to stock.

If we had major suspension components remodelled in lighter alloys then there would be some nice weight saving options. Cost wouldn't be cheap of course

don't forget that keeping an almost empty gas tank helps a lot too.
that's like a 100lbs. This only works for AutoX or drag racing though.
