however teeny tiny they are, I'd be worried about long term durability. Don't ceramics tend to be somewhat abrasive in general?

I have always been nervous about adding any kid of oil additive or fuel injector cleaner. I work at a dealership and we sell BG products but in a car this new I don't think they should be neccessary. That being said I would like to bring that oil temp down some though.

so oil coolers cool oil not additives

that said, I add moly to the crankcase for a few extra hp, the moly mos2; no nano ceramic new age stuff. moly reduces friction, tends to increase hths

just molybdenum

this is another german fluid that is pretty clear about whats in it

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/LubroMoly-MoS2-Anti-Friction-Engine-Treatment/dp/B003U4O414"]LubroMoly MoS2 Anti-Friction Engine Treatment (300 ML) (LM2009) : Amazon.com : Automotive[/ame]

Now I am getting a oil cooler prototype this week that, here, in the desert north of phoenix, is a must have item. Its hotter here than in Cali.

After a day in the crank case, I have to say I'm impressed with the change in the car today. Idle came down about 100 rpm, but the big thing is the change in the engine...its so smooth now across the entire RPM band. Any harshness is gone, it just sounds great. I'll be very interested to see how my mileage changes for the better.

Back when I was growing up they had an easy way (?!?) to see if an additive worked. Andy Granatelli would stick a screwdriver blade in a quart of oil and show everyone how easy it was to hold. Then he would stick the blade into a can of STP and no one could hold it. Times have changed.

Call me skeptical and cheap but it's too much $ to solve issues that arn't even issues.

I remember them talking about this at the meet in Torrance on Friday. Will definitely keep it in mind when I service mine.
