but we know what is the size of concept - it is 4.2m meter in length, same as 130i sedan for instance... It is also slightly wider and a lot lower.

So I would expect trunk like in 130i, which is not bad at all...

If I'm not mistaken, this car is slightly bigger than the Celica.

Considering that, and how big the Celica trunk space is, I don't see it as an issue.

Hi Aki, given that Civic has a 4 door variant and it has a larger, I would guess you can easily fit 4 wheels in your car fairly easily. BTW, how do you fit those 4 wheels for your track day?

I am guessing the trunk space is probably between 250 and 350 liters (9.3 to 13 cu. ft), probably in 300 liters (11 cu. ft) range. If this is a coupe with trunk, I guess you can only fit 2 wheel in the trunk and than put the extra 2 on the back seat. With a liftback and fold-flat seat, you can lay then on the floor without bags to protect your interior. Otherwise you need to get the tires bagged and put them in the back seat. This is what I am guessing.

BTW, anyone could share a picture of the trunk/liftback on 7th gen celica? I think this car should compare pretty good in terms of the size of that celica, so we might have some hints on size.

And xravexboix, thanks for the info. Hopefully this is true when they release the production version.

Did they bring a ScangaugeII?

I'm also curious if you can hijack/share the windtunnel reports including the one for the first concept. I've got some buddies who would enjoy reading it . If not just the drag Coefficient with the frontal area would be great too! Most companies don't share even that tiny bit of info with us .

It's an 06--two wheels in the trunk, two in the rear seat (RE070s are fatty tires too). I think I've fit four additional tires on top of that before too, so it's pretty easy to fit a set of tires/wheels, even if the car would be a smaller 2+2 (the FR-S is a lot smaller)

I'll try to remember to take some pictures of mine with the seats folded down.

For now, here's some pictures I could find:

Get over it. If the seats are comfortable, and he likes having quality sound, who cares?

It's not like he has made the car ugly looking-rice, or trying to make it appear faster than it is, or adding fake vents.

In case you didn't notice, that's a NOS bottle between the seats.

You don't know if he takes that car to the track, or auto shows, or sound competitions.

It may be excessive, yes, but do you know what's even under the hood of that car?

Edit: Anyway, back on topic I only posted those to give an idea of trunk space since it was all I could easily find.

Well. Each to their own. That is personally not my cup of tea, but I don't hate. Many of us are in the group of enthusiasts that are about the pure driving sensation. Even within this group their are people that lean more towards handling and lightweight toss-ability and then there are those who prefer sheer power. Some like both. There are also enthusiasts who are about the car itself and its appearance. Show car people are enthusiasts too. That Celica owner is probably not bragging about how fast his lap times are at the track. He probably takes his cars to meets and shows, maybe an occasional launch using his NOS. Doesn't make him a horrible car enthusiast (unless he street races and kills someone). Just one with different tastes. "Rice" is definitely being used too often and in the wrong context. It seems like the word is just used to label a car someone doesn't like. Even if a car IS actually "rice", who cares? So what if that guy is putting useless and fake "go-fast" parts on his car? Let him enjoy it and be happy that you know better. We should be thanking them, actually. It's the rice cars that make our cars look that much better.

Edit: Also back on topic, I REALLY hope this car has a liftback. With the rear seats folded down (or deleted), do you even know how many boxes of lettuce I could carry? Probably nine. NINE, I tell you! That's unheard of in a coupe. (OK, ten if you include the front seat.)

Watch out now, he's being firm!

FIRRRMMMM.

Racing buckets in a car like that is like putting a snorkel on a lowered mini-truck.

Or a GT wing on a car that doesn't breathe even 100 miles to the closest race circuit.

However, on topic, it does show quite a bit of storage space behind the front seats.
