We probably see it earlier than mid summer. I could be wrong tho.

so who is doing whose homework?
-Toyota has 3 concepts, Subaru has only one bare skeleton. Who really designed the car?
-If this car is Toyota test car, I think Toyota does more engineering. As you stated, Toyota make head and fuel injection to fit in the boxer.
-It will be built in (what?need confirmation) Subaru plant with Toyota parts.

Coming from owning 3 modified Subarus I will tell you when you turn the boost up 5-6 psi, add uppipe, downpipe and tune. The TMIC will get heat soaked too fast for mine or my tuner's liking, getting adequate air and flow to the IC would make the clean shape of the production version gaudy.

FMIC is the way to go, easier to work on the car and allows for better design of aero flow of hood.

Like I said, it will be ideal to have FMIC. This is a production car tho, so I don't see why they need to do those stuff that should be done on slightly heavy modified car. It's less practical.

I noticed that, but you could still be new to it or bought used, so it doesn't prove anything. Just saying that Scion makes most of their profit off of their accessories, so it would not be likely for this car to not have any. If anything, I can see Scion stripping down the base Toyota model, just to mark up the parts they stripped out and sell them back to you.

Because the only reason you like that wing is probably because it is on the GT-R.

People like the looks of a car because of the power behind it. I find this hypocritical but it's how people are that understand the real power to something. See below.

This is my point. If a car is ugly or aggressive but has insane power, people get out the lube and bend over for the styling. Some people even start to like the style just because they know it has power.

I know this happened to me when I watched Ken Block in the STi. I used to hate that car but when I started having more respect for it I started liking the looks more.

My point is that to some people this car is too "aggressive" only because they know the targeting power range, while to others they think it's not aggressive enough because it lacks ugly elements from cars that already have power, and they are used to associating them together.

If only people could be less biased, but then they wouldn't be human.

Subaru plant

Subaru chassis

Subaru block

Possible Subaru i-AVCS

Yamaha head

Toyota D4-S

Tremec?, getrag? 6spd

Both Subaru and Toyota will be doing there own interior designs.

I think Subaru is the main engineer, with Toyota having a big hand in direct injection and bring their relationship with Yamaha into play and marketing/promotion.

Aisin, another dish in from Toyota.

I'm curious as to the plant selection. You have an article confirming it will be in a Subbie plant? Here, I'll help you out here....

From my experience working in an Automotive Assembly plant (very brief, but I learned lots of things) the drivetrain components will be assembled at other plants (mainly the engine) and shipped to the final assembly plant. Knowing that most plants carry the stamping dyes and other car specific machinery there, its more than likely the Toyota (scion) will be built at a Toyota plant, with the engine coming from a Subaru plant.

Considering Toyota practically owns Subaru, I'd say any contribution from "Subaru" is the same as from Toyota...

Both Subaru and Toyota will be doing there own interior designs. Agree. they share the homework on this.

I think Subaru is the main engineer on block and revising the chassis with Toyota's help, But Toyota has a big hand in direct injection and marketing/promotion.
Fixed.

Aisin? Oh no 2 of my VWs had Aisins. Both died but covered under warranty. I hardly call this a good donation.
