They still could on the production car. This is still testing and as you saw from yesterdays to today's pics they are changing the setup. Wouldn't be surprised if we see several differences in the next few weeks.

wow, all these pictures in such a short span of time.

It's almost like they said "Hey, for tomorrow, you wanna throw some aero kit on the car to REALLY mess with those guys on the forums?"

"Heheheh, yeah man!! They be rollin'!"

Stop messing with me!!

Srsly: On topic...same sheet metal, with a little bit of aero on it now and EVERYONE is ohh and ahhing. Lol. I still don't see why people think this in particular is the subaru model. Toyota is following the natural course of a car right now....its been in concept stage, then a mechanical test mule, then concept stage again (and again), and finally, they have a production ready test car using the actual chassis. We'll see this for a few months, and then come October, the finalized product will be at the Tokyo Auto Show, Japanese release in December, and North American in late Spring. Badda-bing done.

The only Subbie version to show up at an auto show will probably be Subaru's production version, just to show it off before making it hit the showroom.

Um, just because there is a lip kit and a douchey spoiler doesn't mean that the car all of a sudden has "aggressive lines".

Why does Subaru need to test the car when Toyota already does the homework? LOL
Subaru can just change the head light and bumper when assembling.

It's the same car as you pointed out. I guess it doesn't take much to confuse some people.

That's because Subaru's version will have turbo power and no1 really cares, to a certain extent, what it looks like just as long as it lower than 49" inches, rips the roads and smacks the Miata, RX8 and Genesis around.

The FR-S was a concept showing what could be done with the car. What we see now is a close to production version that they want to camouflage so that people don't see the details until it is officially released.

subaru designed the car, did all the engineering, will be built at a subaru factory. its derived from a subaru platform.

toyota is in charge of the styling and the direct injection system. and the hype as well, apparently.

so who is doing whose homework?
