Just filled out their nav survey as well and told them how lousy the satellite locking was.

Makes you wonder if anyone ever bothered testing the system.

same, I just grilled them in the survey as well, here's to hoping they'll somehow give us an upgrade through firmware/software.

After talking to our rep, the only cars getting this "temp fix" are the ones with little to no gps. There is a TSB coming soon to address the problem.

I got my fix installed yesterday.
New antenna and placement along with new software.
They tell me the software is temporary and a final version will come later.

It has worked flawlessly yesterday and today.

So, I noticed that mine goes out after I drive a certain distance. After about 1/4 mile, I get "GPS signal lost". Is that the same with everyone else?

Talked to someone at XM/Sirius and they told me that I'm not getting real time traffic updates on my navi because my dealership never set up my account for traffic. Obviously, I'm already getting the radio service, but never got the traffic service.

If any of you guys are in a similar boat make sure to give your dealership a call so they can set up a traffic account for you. Right now I'm waiting on someone from the dealership to call me back on it.

If you're under 3mo trial still - here's a thread with SOA case number to contact them with.

Otherwise you'll need to re-activate the service and override XM's system, that seems to think that BRZ Nav isn't NavTraffic capable.

The updated antenna and software fixed that issue for me.
I'm pretty sure it goes back to the speed mismatch.

I tried the nav guidance for the first time since buying the car 3 weeks ago and satellite signal was lost after moving roughly 50 ft

I also hate the audio guidance. No route or street names, no exit numbers. Just a laughable "Leave the highway". Ambiguous directions caused me to miss my exit since I had to look at the map to figure out which of the two I actually needed and it wound up costing me $5 in tolls to get back in the right direction

If you use the TTS voice selection it will read to you the street names.
