The genesis coupe looks way more expensive than your average run of the mill 20k car. If Hyundai can do it then Toyota can. The GC has a lot of interesting features baked in to its design. I guess when it comes to Asia, Hyundai offers more for less.

Get rid of spoiler (something more simple would be ok), change rear taillights (looks too unfinished and I don't like the round part), get rid of that 3rd brake light thingy I think it could look pretty good. I like the round exhaust and the minimal diffuser kit.
could that be because its a prototype??

We probably have different tastes but the GC looks like an updated Tiburon. It doesn't blow me away with styling and look like a supercar like the FR-S did. The GC to me looks exactly what it is, a $30k sports car. Nothing more and nothing less. And yes, Hyundai does offer a lot of bang for the buck in terms of how much car you get for your money. If they can keep improving what they deliver thereby improve their image they can take a larger market share than they currently have.

Yes hopefully that is still the case and they have a few minor changes to do. I don't personally like what they have on the car at the moment, but if the performance delivers I can overlook that part.

I agree. Looks can always be changed, It just depends on how much body work you want to do.

Either way, this is quite the futile effort, because I'm pretty sure they've padded some areas as well to hide some of the details, especially the bonnet.
Thanks, i know that the lines are slightly off, but the image was processed through a 3D program to extract the lines. Using various exposures i was able to physically see the lines of the car underneath the camo.

Yes its true that the camo could have been masking other parts and details, which really shouldnt matter anyway. Its a test car. I remember Mazda using a MX-3 shell ( mind you it was still a brand new car) to test the mechanics of the FD rx7. Everyone was throwing up in their mouths at the thought of a rotary mx-3 succeeding the FC3S.

*thoughts*
I believe the de-camoing iv done is 90-95% accurate. Should you all be worried? Of course not, even the LFA prototype underneath camo saw drastic aesthetic changes for the production car. I don't believe for one this is what the FT86 production will look like, and you people shouldn't either. Toyota and Subaru are coming down to the beginning stages of mating the mechanics they tested in previous mule cars, into the actual FT86 chassis. Within the next coming year, we will see more and more testing, probably see more different prototypes.

Hopefully, it's like what you said. I really dislike that taillight so much. LOL

It doesn't look bad but if they're able to make it look more like the FR-S concept it'll make a lot of fans happy even if it's not an exact replica

Thing is this car is way past that stage. This is at least the basic shape that the production car will have, and willing to be that it's 85% close to what will show up in show rooms.
