Too big and tall and generic.
MK1 was by far the most classic, best looking design, IMO. Damn useless pedestrian safety regulations... |

The side is similar to the MKII (sans those cheesy vents, thank God), front seems almost MKI-ish in how conservative it is, the rear tail lights doesn't look like any of the concepts (reminds me of the previous BMW Z4). If those wheels are Enkei Spec Cs from the Forester, they're 17x7 et48. |

That car screams Subaru. Rear bumper, taillights, spoiler, wheels, brakes. Only a turbo car would have big tips like that on production.. which this is production, they look like 2006 sti tips on 2008+ STi hatchback muffler wouldn't be surprise if they actually were...
Looks like a coupe versus a hatch like latest FR-S unless both models will both be coupes. You can tell the refined "dull"look is the doing of Subaru which has a target audience of 28+ y/o versus Scions nature of 15-30. I would like to say that I think the car looks good in this current config, although not great, I prefer the latst FR-S release, the bulging flares and body panels must stay at least. For god sakes every car today has flares. The mazda line up is a good example and the new subaru line up, why would the production lose that??? Toyota is notorious for bland wheels arches. Case in point 2008-2010 wrxs that they lent their hands for lol, then Subaru said FU and smack them with the 2011 wrx. I hope the guy in charge is going to do the same and pull for the aggressive body over the toyotafined way since this is going to be a Scion. |

I figured out that camo confuses us to think that the car has square hood. The hood line should be similar to Mk2 concept.

Changing the bumper and head lights can make a car look completely different, as your pics have proven. I expect the subie version to look more, ummm, odd? I'm going with the Scion/Toyota option if I had a choice.

It's not. Different bumper covers, lights and mirrors.
Look at the shape of the fender where it meets the bumper and headlights. Exact same line.

Though unlike my previous post this just may be a toyota/scion due to no fmic or tmic present visually or hood scoop slot.

I'm not saying it's impossible. But I would be really surprised if they shipped it with 17's. Camry's come with 17's now. They will probably think 17's sends the wrong message. 17=passenger car 18=sports car. But we'll see!
