This. I like a shifter that I can just shove 2-3 with my palm instead of having to zig-zag through some gates. Granted, that's from years of drag racing T56 cars.

To add one on afermark wouldnt work really, probably just get in the way. I will say the Audi R8's gated shifter is fantastic, really really impressive

R 2 4 1 3 5 Then 2-3 shifts are fantastic! 1-2, not so much. Haha. Jeff

Actually I'd have to say that Pagani makes the best shifter on the face of the earth:
![]() Actually I would love to have a gated shifter, please somebody make one. |

Do you honestly believe Ferrari would have continued with the gated shifter for so long just for aesthetics? The only reason the gated shifter is no longer offered, is because they no longer have a true manual (stick) shift in the range. |

Exotics are babied luxury symbols and if you miss shift and fuck something up it'll cost tens of thousands. Do any race cars have gated shifters?

No, they have paddle or sequential shifters. A/T for the win!
