guinea pig for custom leather wrap steering wheel.

Hello peeps,

Was scouring the net and came across this http://www.redlinegoods.com/SteeringWheelCover.php

I'm not in a position to make a purchase but I went ahead and asked if they had steering wheel covers for the 86. turns out they are looking for a 1st buyer to develop a package, with incentive. below is the email response it got, if any 1 wants to jump on it be my guest.

I am not affiliated with these people, just thought some 1 else would be interested.

Hello!

I'd love to make one, I need somebody who would help out though (getting an awesome deal out of it actually).

I need a picture of a wheel so I can see if I can find one locally. Once I do, I can offer the wheel at whatever we pay to acquire it, with the wrap installed, to the first person who orders one. The extra perk is that once you show us pics of it in your car, you get a refund on the wrap.

If we cannot find it locally, we'd ask you to send in yours, but usually, if it is available locally, it's cheaper to buy it over here than for you to send in yours. And your car doesn't get the downtime involved with removing and sending us the wheel.

So, if we find it, you have to invest

$100 for installation of the wrap
$50 for shipping of the wheel to you
$100 for the wrap
whatever we pay for the wheel locally, usually $30-$70 range for most wheels

When you send us pics of the wrap installed, you get $100 back. If you send in your wheel, the price is the same less the purchase of the spare wheel of course!

Installation is optional, you can save the other $100 installing it yourself (it isn't hard at all, please see:

http://www.redlinegoods.com/MiataNCwheelinstall.php - a very cool and concise write-up

and our YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/RedlineGoodsTV

If this sounds interesting, please send me a picture of your wheel so we can start looking for it on local auctions.

----
Have a great day,
Maciek

Just to clarify those that might misread the title, this is not a thread about someone looking for a custom guinea pig leather steering wheel wrap

That's where their LLC is based. They are actually based out of Poland.

I contacted them a few years ago to get my dashboard wrapped but was bummed when they said Id have to ship it overseas.

Yes, they're overseas. I bought a shift boot and arm rest cover from them a while back for my Mazdaspeed 3.
