WoW 2012-2013? pathetic. All this wait... I'll be 27 if it comes out in 2013. I told my gf i would buy this car if it comes out early 2012 just in case the world ends at the end of 2012. Now I don't have a legit reason to buy it! hahahahaha. I Love toyota... I've had 2 toyota celica GTS's. But this wait is just ridiculous. MY friends will be settling down having families already by the time this hits Australia. I would probably be lookin into 4 door cars. Meh might just get a bmw 3 series in 2013. I'll settle with an s15 by the end of this year though. CBB waiting for this. Waited long enough

australia isnt a major market compared with europe, america, and japan it'll always be the last place to see cars that are meant for all markets and not just for australia.

with this version coming to australia instead of a re-branded fr-s its starting to look like the fr-s is an america only model and the rest of the world is going to get a more MkII concept looking car.

How????

only couple of things changed, and it was all cosmetic if you put them side by side you'd see just how alike they are, they both were unveiled with the same promise: front-mid mounted boxer engine, RWD, light, handles well. even toyota said when they unveiled the MkII that it was a "more production ready concept" compared to the MkI.

but that's just me stating facts...

You can read that several ways. It is more production ready meaning Toyota is going to go with a goofy front bumper, goofy front LED lights, goofy rear diffuser, goofy front fender vents...etc. Lots of goofiness on Mk2. Or you can read that statement by Toyota meaning that the "production car" (i.e the real one) is closer to being finalized/designed/engine specs determined...etc. There is no way Toyota brings those features that make Mk2 distinctive from Mk1 to market.

For the States of course. If you think the production version for the US is like FR-S, you're dead wrong. Maybe you can go to five axis and let them make one similar.

I think the overall shape of the car will remain. Obviously the bumpers and other minor cosmetic thing will change. Or at least that's what I hope. The MkII is ugly compared to the FR-S, IMO.

To each of his own. I like Mk2 better except LED, fender vents and wing. Mk2 is not very crazy on rear either.
Well, Mk1 FTW.

yes and we all know those goofy features wont make it onto the car because of the price range, what im talking about is that toyota said it was more production ready so look past all those stupid accents to the changed front windscreen angle the dimensions and the difference in shape, thats what is more production
