Glad to hear you finally got it! I guess that makes at least 3 Firestorms in the Ottawa area -- yours plus mine and of course Andre had the first one around.

Have fun!

No!!!! I would not mind one of those at all!!!

If you get one ask for two cause there are two cup holders and I'll buy the other off you for a cheap but fair price.

I didn't get one either. Seemed like some ppl got one. Maybe they are from the states.

I think that was just a gift handed out by scion to some of the First 86 drivers. I think you can purchase it from Scion as it is a generic part used by many car. Nothing special.

Snow Tire Time in Ottawa

I got my snow tires today.

Winter tire time is 2 months away as I definitely need to pull the summers off my FR-S by Nov. 01 as I don't want to risk seeing any snow with my summer tires.

Apparently winter tires go up 15% Sept 01.

I got 205 55 R16s on 16 inch rims from Tire Bay on Merivale near Tony Graham. They really run a good shop with top notch customer service and a great selection of wheels and tires.

The 205 55 R16 is the same diameter as the summer tires but they give you more tire options at a better price.

They set me up with gun metal rims to go with my Asphalt paint and a nice set of Continental Contact tires for less than $1500.00

The trick was to find a 5 x 100 16 inch rim that clears the brake calipers.

The RSSW rims they got me fit great and are powder coated instead of painted so the salt won't destroy the finish.

Eventually, I'll get it.

Hey all,

Came across this site after I put down the deposit on my FR-S in early August, but haven't had a chance to post yet.

So excited for this car!

However, I can't contribute to this thread for who knows how long, unless you guys want to know about my 2011 Outlander (boring).
My salesman was extremely non-committal about when I will get the car, and they told me they are waiting to put my order in until early September, when their allotments refresh.

I hope I get it before first snowfall.... But I have a feeling that the snow will be melted by the time I get it.

Oh well, the price I pay for procrastinating, I guess.

Anyway, can't wait.

Ordered from Mendes. Not sure if they get a smaller allotment than the other dealers in Ottawa, but they were giving me the best deal on my trade-in.

They seem like they're trying to get the car for me quickly, but obv it looks out of their hands.

Yeah, not sure who you ordered from but it seems that Mendes has their act together.
Let's hope you get your car quickly.

Fingers crossed.

You guys think i should wait till i get the car to get winter tires? I'd probably just go with the specs that Zootramp provided above.

But I'm worried that i may get them and then the car won't arrive till it is getting warm again.
I guess i'll need them eventually anyways.
