I understand what they are attempting to do, however there are many legitmate tuners that were on this site and had their threads locked or deleted, Lachute being one.

Not every tuner wants to pay internet forums for the privilege to promote their projects. Specially when these tuners handle multiple vehicles. The FR-S/BRZ has about 4 major internet forums alone.

I am preeeetty sure the entry fee is small, judging by the amount of vendors who paid it right away no questions asked. And again, the point was not to discriminate against legitimate vendors, it was to shy away the scammers and so far there have been no issues of scammers after the system was implemented so I think the process has served the purpose. About the four major forums, I am pretty sure this is the biggest one. Want to play with the big boys.. gotta pay.

Look its a matter of opinion and we can go at it endlessly. You think its pointless I think its a good barrier. We can agree to disagree, but don't imply the threads were closed because the moderators want money because it has nothing to do with wanting or needing money, more with keeping it as safe as possible for all of us.
