No CEL problems here

Reading about these CEL problems is disconcerting.

I have a AT BRZ 3,000 miles, Vin #02xx, 50/50 city highway, driven pret hard (23mpg), and I haven't had any stalling problem or CEL activated.

I have seen minor idle dip to about 500, but nothing more than that. Idle dips noticeably with AC on but no stalling or shaking.

Seems most if the BRZs and FRSs are later build models with Vin #6000+

Anyone else with early builds with no issues?

Uh, just for your info......your VIN is also 60 0261. BRZ's all start with 60. FR-S starts with 70 xxxx.

So is under #2000 considered an "earlier" model?

#6004XX @ 1400 miles - have seen the idle dip and then felt a brief shudder (with the AC on) when coming to a stop...but it's never thrown a CEL or SL. My 1990 Miata used to do similar things with the AC on...so I haven't really thought much of it.

Normally I drive with the AC off...not sure if that's delaying the inevitable. Fingers crossed that my "early build' won't need any major repairs!

What happened after the "early" models were built? Regular factory workers go on strike or something?
