Another filter on a stick. Let me guess they will charge $300-400 for something they did no R&D with. all they did was take a pipe and mounted a MAF bracket on, bend it and put a cone filter on it.

So far the only vendor that seems to be making a decent intake is SRT.

I'm not too sure of that. The only difference of those two intakes is the type of enclosure they are using around the filter element. It almost seems that the R&D of some companies is restricted to "does it fit" and "how much can we charge".

Yes intensive like mounting the intake up with a box and filter haha. I know most intakes are a money grab but if they work hey who cares.

300 to 400 is not worth it. I think most people would be on board for 150 to 200 for the sound alone.

I feel like this intake would cause more bogging issues on my car than the AIRAID one does haha. At least they have a shroud for engine heat....

Airaid has done extensive testing and if you look at the design, you will see it is so much more than a filter on a alum pipe. Clean sound tube delete, rotomolded and flow tested intake tube & airbox, massive air filter, built in velocity stack. Proven 5hp gain, increased throttle response, excellent filtration, real factory support (Airaid is a sponsor of this forum with 3 employees registered including the designer of the intake). The Airaid price cannot be beat and with the rebate & forum discount.....

Honestly I'd grab one of their intakes .. I just don't like their stickered branding on the intake .. not a big fan of their logo design :/
that heat box thing looks weird as well .. bugs me too much
