Allow myself to introduce....myself.
Hi everyone, I've been meaning to join this forum for a few months now, however it been a busy summer autocrossing the car almost every weekend.
I'm Nick, from Erie PA. I used to own a 2006 STI and frequented IWSTI.com. (I recognize a few user names from iwsti on here too) From what I can tell this is the best FRS/BRZ forum of the few that I've come across. I'm currently a college student, but am a former mechanic and still work on cars regularly. I worked at Moore Performance last year to help them out with a couple projects and whatnot. They are currently using my car to build a motorsports exhaust and a few other parts. So I will be working with them in the efforts to develop some quality parts. I'm a very active autocrosser and currently run the car in C-Stock until the SCCA determines what ST class it will end up in. I also plan on doing a track day or 2 before the season is over. Enough of the blabbing. To the pics: My last Subaru: 2006 STI. (got rid of it with 108,000 miles on it) ![]() ![]() ![]() And now the BRZ. (Purchased July 2, 2012) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ran at Pro Solo in Toledo on corded out sicks and no crash bolts installed Got 4th out of 5 (5th being my co driver) ![]() Next year I hope to be better prepared. The only modification to the car currently is the OEM crash bolts up front, and a Berk Technologies muffler delete pipe. Well I'm done with my massive post. Look forward to the stay! |

I plan to next month. Never had it on a track before, but autox plenty of times. I've tracked my STI however on a road course. Nothing quite like it. I suggest doing a few autocrosses first to learn the limits of the car before you break 100+ on a track. Unless you've already done it

I like how they look and the dimensions sound great. I've been debating on mine but still holding out for the 17x7 +42 RPF1s due in a couple months.

My slicks are toast so at local events I'm running the Primacy's. The last autocross I was at there where 2 FRS's and 4 BRZ's all with Primacy's. It was actually alot of fun. Basically a spec class. |

Crash bolts simply are non-adjustable camber bolts. Google it relative for MR2s and you'll get lots of info. Only stock class legal way to get more front negative camber in an FRS/BRZ.

LOL not really fair to show National Tour level driving and say this is what autocross is... for most first-timers and people new to the sport this is more like what it will look like:
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLN2D_2_2HA"]Spin-outs and cone killing - YouTube[/ame] it's still good times though.

It's close enough to show cars driving through courses and I had it handy since co-workers often ask.
